This building and interior design project included the concept design and documentation of a large addition to the rear of this heritage property, creating kitchen, dining and family spaces, plus rumpus, bathroom/laundry and home office.
The design development process considered many options, including 2 storey and single storey layouts. It was essential that the extension scale and design was in keeping with the original historic home, while providing light filled interior spaces, high ceilings and French doors which open onto a deck, overlooking the family pool.
The large traditional style kitchen is well planned and functional, but still has clean lines and finishes. All finishes and detailing were chosen to reflect the style of the home and the lifestyle of the family it was designed for.
